Despite the growing public interest in his art work Fran remains a serving police officer with more than twenty years policing experience. He has served as a Police Constable on the Roads Policing Unit and also, more recently, as an Inspector working in the same environment. His experience means he is perfectly placed to undertake detailed research of the emergency service subject matter and in this regard Fran paints with the full permission of both the Gwent and South Wales Police Forces, as well as the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the Wales Air Ambulance Chariable Trust.
Fran's decision to paint a series of Emergency Service related art work was really the catalyst that launced his work onto the international arena and the black and white checkered design of the action-art logo is intended to capture the personal connection for Fran between his interest in motorsport and his work within the Emergency Services.
"Whilst painting this kind of subject matter is even more specialist, and certainly not the main thrust of my work, as a serving police officer I wanted to create a series of reproduction prints that portray something of the work of the Emergency Services in the 21st Century. I have the priviledge of working alongside men and women from all of the Emergency Services who regularly put their own lives on the line in order to protect and serve our communities and want to celebrate that. The images I paint speak of the dramatic changes that have impacted upon the way that all of the Emergency Services operate."
It is hoped that you will both enjoy viewing this site and decide to place an order to become the next proud owner of a limited edition action-art reproduction.
